TKH - WALKING THEORY / TEORIJA KOJA HODA

How to grasp and subvert the highly performative nature of contemporary capitalism? This line of questioning is of central concern to the theoretical-artistic platform TkH-Walking Theory. As Fellows of the Academy from March to May 2015, TkH will develop two projects. Performance of the Self investigates the performative technologies of individualism and personality cults characteristic of post-Fordist capitalism, while Marxist Heritage is an ongoing research project that departs from a “phantom memory of Marxism” as experienced after the collapse of socialist Yugoslavia, actualized in a critique of contemporary capitalism and concretized in lecture performances, reading groups, discussions, collective working sessions, and contextually specific labor actions.
