With Buket Isgören und Suzanne Josek

Two heads are better than one. That's why Buket Isgören and Suzanne Josek set out on a search together with the audience: they approach Buket Isgören's images and the questions they raise in a playful, dialogical and physical-performative way. In the process, new and unusual perspectives on the artist's work spontaneously open up. For the artist, drawing is a form of self-empowerment: “When I paint so hard, I really have strength.”

Buket Isgören was born in Cologne in 1992 and still lives there today. She attended the Thymianweg special school for the learning disabled in Cologne from 1998 to 2005 and then the Auf dem Sandberg 120 municipal special school in Cologne until 2010. From 2010 to 2015, she worked at the Gemeinnützige Werkstätten Köln (GWK). She has been working at the KAT18 art centre in Cologne since 2015.
