with MADHUSREE DUTTA

At the center of the exhibition HANDS, curated by Madhusree Dutta and Ala Younis, are tactile experiences, playfulness and interactivity. But in which global social developments are these concepts embedded? The core idea is that art heals social wounds and can bring forth new forms of coexistence. In the face of social isolation in private space, alongside a growing mistrust towards social interaction in public space, art is a therapeutic intervention and underscores the relevance and necessity of cultural life. The exhibition tour by Madhusree Dutta affords a chance to ask questions directly, to engage in discussion, not to mention the opportunity to playfully explore the exhibited artworks on site.
