with MADHUSREE DUTTA, ALA YOUNIS

The two curators Madhusree Dutta and Ala Younis offer an invitation to an exhibition tour in the Academyspace. At the center of the exhibition HANDS are tactile experiences, playfulness and interactivity. But in which global social developments are these concepts embedded? The core idea is that art heals social wounds and can bring forth new forms of coexistence. In the face of social isolation in private space, alongside a growing mistrust towards social interaction in public space, art is a therapeutic intervention and underscores the relevance and necessity of cultural life. The exhibition tour affords a chance to ask the curators questions directly, to engage in discussion, not to mention the opportunity to playfully explore the exhibited artworks on site.
