with EVA BUSCH, NAFISEH FATHOLLAHZADEH (MOMENTOGRAPHY OF A FAILURE), ABEER GUPTA
moderated by MADHUSREE DUTTA

The time of the pandemic is known for social distancing, lockdowns and quarantine regulations – which means deserted, less populated streets. Yet certain category of people has been on the streets precisely because of the pandemic – the first is the delivery workers and the second is the migrant workers who were rendered jobless and thus also become homeless in big cities. We see them often, both in real life and in social media, but we have also chosen not to see them. The two artists in this talk have worked on the two phenomena for Ghosts, Traces, Echoes: Works in Shifts. The talk will discuss the issues concerning imaging and image circulation around the contemporary labor bodies.
